Just show up

You hear a lot of people who hate the saying “just show up.”

I don’t see why you would hate it?

If you don’t show up you don’t know what you’re missing.

If you don’t show up you don’t have anything to get you excited about what could happen.

Too many people take the easy route of giving themselves an excuse as to why they don’t need to show up. They’re tired, long weekend, kids, haven’t had a coffee.

Any reason they can.

I can guarantee that the people who don’t show up are the ones who will be falling behind and wishing they’d have listened.

Sure, I’m talking health and fitness. But let’s relate it to something else.

You kids going to school. There are many days when they say they’re too tired and they don’t want to go.

Do you force them?

Yep.

Do they moan?

Yep.

Even if you know they’re tired and they probably won’t take that much in, you still think its better for them to show up right?

So why not with your own health and fitness?

If you look at your life as you do to your kids, then everything becomes much easier.

Today, if you’re feeling tired. You can’t be bothered to go to the gym.

Just show up. You’ll probably feel inspired once you get there and you’ll probably end up doing something great.

If you don’t, then you only have yourself to blame.

If you sit around and eat crap you only have yourself to blame.

So stop feeling sorry for yourself and just show up.
